Before everything goes to Hell in A Quattro and we Know The Truth, I thought I'd look at The Theory and see how much is still viable. Spoilers.

 Somewhat to my surprise, after a further two episodes, my Big Picture theory is still undamaged. In fact I'll even go so far as to say it's been given some extra ammo. Quite a few folks have started to come up with similar thoughts now, I see, so I'm not totally cracked...

 I have another theory, but it's one I fear could be closer to the truth and I don't think I like it.

 Well I may have about two thousand things I didn't like about episode one of series three, but it's certainly kicked the theorising into gear. So here's one to be going on with, based on what we've seen on screen so far and the general press and interweb interviews. I'm spoiler-free as far as episode two and beyond are concerned.

Yep, never let it be said I'm not a jack of all trades. Being master of none is already known :) This selection of chunes has been rattling about in my head these past few weeks until it's reached a point where I thought throwing them out to an unsuspecting public might help me get shot of it.  Bugger all, if we're honest. I set the Magic Box to series record "Life" and "Dempsey and Makepeace" and that's pretty much it. The former because I have an inexplicable liking for spending time watching Damian Lewis; the latter 'cos it's so much "Ashes Lite" I'm hoping it'll gently talk me down (up?) from the point of depressed numbness series ( Read more... )

 Very remiss with this; not sure I enjoy it as much if I don't go through it bit by bit. Which I have now done anyway, and got a lot more out of it once it was under the magnifying glass.

 Ah, the irony. I resolve to stop doing these 'cos I wonder whether that's what's stopping me enjoying the series - and lo and behold, I liked this one. I really did. Felt like, at last, series two of Ashes wasn't completely removed from series one. It was fun, dammit. Maybe I missed Alex being a fruitcake? Maybe I didn't miss the Martian ( Read more... )

 Fair warning; as I start this I'm more than a bit disappointed by this episode. By the time I get to the end, I hope I won't be, but if you're looking for 100% squee, well I don't think it's going to happen.
